I was wondering if it is possible to take a factory supercahrger out another car, and put it into a 2.2L chevy cavalier? Can it be done/
Can it be done, yes. But if it's a roots style your going to have to mod the supercharger to bolt onto the car which would be alot of work. If it's a vortec style than it's just like bolting in a turbo.
Cool. So where could I get a factory supercharger from or should I say what kind of car and or what type Vortech Supercharger? And would this be costly?
Rsm makes a kit. Finding one will be tough. Few cars use them stock. Mercedes-Benz had some cars that used that kind. As for domestic cars, I can't think of any. Search ebay, some pop around there every now and them.
Big thanks. But one more question. If I am looking on Ebay or looking at other vehicles for there supercharges, what should I be looking for. Or is a supercharger a supercharger? Does the type matter?
in the boost forum there is a FAQ. that has tons of info, questions that you are asking and ones that you will ask later. check that out it is very helpful
you have to stand for something, or you're bound to fall for anything
I don't think you can use a different factory supercharger with the 2.2 OHV, simply because of where the intake manifold is in relation to the firewall. Even if you could get it to work, you would spend more money than just going and buying the RSM kit.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
maybe a G60 from a corrado would work i think it's a vortech supercharger!

Good point and totally agree.
The best options for the 2.2 OHV is to turbo it or buy RSM's charger kit (for boosting).
