Okay, okay, so I've gone and broken my engine again.
I was trying to move the battery to the trunk. After it acting like a dead battery for like an hour of attempting to start it, I moved it back up front. Start it, BOOM. Big expolsion, like a concussion.
My mechanic tells me I probably flooded the cylinder, and it backfired or something. Anyways, he tells me to try to start it again, and I do. Starts fine, but it starts smoking immediately after start-up. It smokes out the both the engine bay and exhaust, and enough of it to make it look like it's on fire. However, it doesn't have a smell (it's not oil; I happen to know the smell of burning oil very well). I'm pretty sure it was coolant.
So, I think "blown head gasket, I hate my life." So, I dismantled the engine (it's the 2.4L btw). If anyone else has done this, I had to take off my entire timing chain housing to get to two head bolts... I assume this is the only way to do this. I'm starting to dislike the design of this engine.
Anyways, point is that while the head gasket is a little cruddy, it appears to not have any breaks in it. I forgot to check compression, so I don't know if I've blown a piston ring. But do you guys have any other ideas of what might be causing all this steam/smoke?
Thanks again guys, your help is always appreciated.

I did something similar in a friend's Saturn. I didn't go BOOM, but I did push the car a bit. I suddenly got a bunch of white smoke trailing out. I though "oh ^*#&, blown head gasket". The exhaust even smelled a bit sweet (or so I thought), so I was convinced it was radiator fluid. I called AAA and had the car towed to a Saturn dealership.
Turns out I had just tweaked the computer, and it was running WAY rich (like, full on). They reset the codes, and the car was fine. So before you do any more diagnosing, you may want to have your codes read.
Good luck.
Man, you think all of my efforts to move the battery, plugging and unplugging so often, might've fried the computer?
Ouch, I hope not... I'm not good with the electronics side. Thanks for the responce though.
