DIS-2 on Ecotec - FINAL, complete diagram

I know this is a semi-repost from my thread in the nitrous forum, but I felt it was more relevant here, and I hope all of you waiting for information on this mod will understand. This is also a final, edited diagram which i havent posted anywhere else, certified by me myself, who successfully installed my DIS-2 plus (62112) on my 05 sunfire, with an external coil and plug wire conversion. Car is running great. This is what you need, with part numbers:
-msd dis-2 (62112) or the programmable version (62152)
-msd blaster coils x2 (8224)
-msd cam sync generator (8914)
-msd super conductor plug wires (31159)
-msd coil interface module x2 (8870)

To remove the ICM from the coils, youll need a Torx t15 screwdriver. Also, for my install, I completely removed the stock coils and housing (the black "Ecotec" plate).

The pins on the bottom of the ICM (which you can see once you pull off the female-female connector) look something like this: (* * * *). Trigger 1 wire (white) goes to the pin on the far left, and trigger 2 wire (green) goes to the third pin from the left. No connection is necessarry to the far right lone pin, as well as the second pin from the left.

To connect the trigger wires to the "inter-connect" plug on the ICM, I put solder on the tips of the wires so they were like pins, pulled out the female to female connector from the ICM, stuck the solder-tipped wires in the corresponding connector holes, and plugged it back into the ICM, and taped it all up.

Any questions, feel free to email me.

still wrong you get the ignition voltage from the middle pin on the icm output and before the coils input

oops, forgot to add: I mounted one coil pack on the drivers side strut tower, the other right behind the battery, and the dis-2 and cam sync generator in the driver's side fender well (accessible if you remove the drivers side headlight).

Also, for cleanliness, ease, and good looks (they go nicely with the red plug wires), I bought from Jeg's a set of black plug wire dividers. The part number is 720-9728. They're great for looks and keeping your plug wires separate and organized.

you dont need to get it from the pin. i checked with a multimeter, and the pin provides a constant 12v DC. The pink wire also provides a constant 12v DC. For ease of wiring, i used the pink wire. There's no difference.

smoother idle below 3000rpm, increased power above 3000 to red, better gas mileage most importantly

Gains included throttle response, overall power and fuel economy gains (id say somewhere in the range of 5 hp according to butt dyno).

don't forget with this mod you can put msd stickers on your car and not be called a poser.

i think the big advantange will be once other power adders are installed--like nitrous or a turbo.

keep in mind all that starts to multiply the more parts you add to it that adds air and fuel. you;ll already have more spark, when more fuel and air comes, bigger explosion

Hook up the launch RPM control feature and that alone can be worth several hundred dollars when you start "gating" people (cutting a good light) at the track.

Connect it with a toggle and a nitrous style WOT micro switch on the clutch pedal.

It allows total focus on the tree with a five speed car, and a nice feature with an automatic, even without a trans brake.
