I have 4 brand new ecotec injectors and was wondering if anybody knows if they flow more than the 2.4's. any help is apreciated.
thx
14.54 @ 93.46mph
actually they arent the same injectors
the multec 2 injectors used on the 99 up 2.4's has a 6 hole spray pattern , and the 03-up eco multec 2 injector uses a 4 hole spray pattern
from what i remember the eco's are small CC wise than the 2.4
What about putting the 2.4 injectors into a 97 2.2 would there be any problems. Like do they fit on the fuel rail?
the 2000+ injectors flow the same cc in the eco and 2.4, 24 lb/hr. both are high impedance, top feed, long style. in the pre-99, the injectors were low impedance. in those years the 2.4L injectors flowed at 25 lb/hr and were the short, fat bosch-amp injectors.
also i should mention that the eco has a base fuel pressure of 50 psi
the 2.4's base is 40-45 psi range
Top Feed conversion? What is exactly needed do that? Change the fuel rail from a 2.4? Have u heard of anyone doing that?

Mine was 48.5...
Top feed conversion involves somebody fabricating a new intake manifold, its a LOT of work. Just search for it, there are pictures floating around here with write ups.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
both of mine are in the low 40's , ive got a 97 and a 00
and some additional info the stock duty cycle for the eco is 65%

1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
yep. 65% duty cycle for ecos. and my stock fuel pressure is 52psi base, 60psi static. according to Delphi, who makes the stock FPR for the 03+ ecos, the base pressure is 55psi. although ive yet to see one actually run that much base psi. everyone is usually in the 50-53psi range.
i would assume if teh 2.4 injectors flow the same as eco injectors, but with less pressure behind them, they would flow slightly more with the same pressure as the eco. just my quick assumptions. as ive posted before, go here to do the math.

yeah it pretty much depends on how GM rated them
like i said earlier they are different , the 2.4 is 6 hole , and the eco is 4 hole
