I have a decent amount of mods done now, but it just seems like I lack alot of the power to show it. What do I need to do to maximize my mods and bring my ride to where it should be? Adjustable fpr, weight reduction (daily driver), traction, or any other suggestions? I'm sure an ECU tune would do some wonders.

Looking at your profile, it seems like you have a very good amount of modifications. I think your issue might be fuel. I would suggest and SAFC-2. Your cams might be making you run rich. First, get an A/F Ratio gauge or take it somewhere to find out if you are running rich or lean. When you find out, have it adjusted either yourself or dyno tuned.

Weight reduction is always a helping factor but might not be your major issue.

If you find that your traction as far as launching isn't good, then better tires would help. I don't think that's a big problem either.

As far as tuning the ECU, right now there are only 2 tuning products as far as the ECU goes. A Greddy E-Manage and an SAFC-2 (Like said before). The E-manage will give you Fuel adjusting abilities & Spark adjusting abilities but is more involved to get it to work than an SAFC-2. If you want more info on both products let me know.

Good luck with your car.

heres what i think...i think youve just been driving your car so much your used to its speed...cus with those mods you should be pretty fast so MY suggestion is....go drive a stock cav for a day, then get back in your car and see if you like it better then ...hopefully you will

Yeah I know that one factor could be me used to my speed, but I based it on a drag race against an SI with a CAI, adjustable FPR, and header. He was one car length ahead after second gear. Im a little embarrassed to admit that, but thats why I am posting this issue. Anyways, Im a little familiar with the SAFC-II but dont know much about the E-manage. I've been in and out of the org. so Im not really up-to-date.

Important point not just an air fuel ratio guage but a wideband one , narrowband ones mean nothing they are little more than a light show

Emanage is not really needed unless your boosted

Ditch the nology system, Get a MSD ignition with MSD coils and wires and switch to AC Delco rapidfire plugs

Running bigger rims will never make you faster

Might want to do a lightened flywheel and upgraded clutch this will help the revs quicker and put a little more to the ground

upgrade to a RSM 62mm TB and intake manifold

After that thats about it on bolt ons, you can pick up a good bit of power from a ported head and moving towards forged higher compression pistons

i agree..i thought you already had it....if you want to be faster off the line( which seems to be your problem) go for the flywheel / clutch...i have the 8lb fidanza with stage 2 clutch and LOVE it..itll get you to your power band faster ..a lightened crank pulley with a lightweight flywheel is a NICE setup to rev faster

you can easily switch to 2.2 coils and msd offers those. I have the 2.2 coils in my 2.4 and I switched them fo that reason
