so i just got my 62mm throttle body from rsm and i was wondering how do i disengage the two cables on my stock throttle body. i tried to search but i didn't turn anything up. oh and by the way i have an 03 ecotec. thanks in advance

Take the bracket off, take the tb off (not necessary, but makes it easier), then turn the tb so the cables are slack. The cable has a little post on the end that slides out the hole on the throttle body arm.

that's all it just slides out of the arm? i just want to make sure that i know what i'm doing before i tear my car apart.

Yeah, at least it does on the one's I've seen. You'll see how it comes out when you take a look at it. You can take it out without taking the tb off, you just have to hold the tb arm at WOT to get slack in the cable.

its not that hard to do. just take a good look at it and im sure youll figure it out.

hey guys so i got the first cable that sits in the slot out no problem but i'm having trouble getting the other cable out, any suggestions on the easiest way to get it off. any help would be appreciated

Lol, well if you were about 3 hours north, I'd just meet up with you and show you.

It slides out the side. I couldn't get mine off for the longest time either, then one day I took the throttle body off and set it off to the side (cable attached). When I went to grab it again, the cable was off. You just have to work it out, push it over to the side so the post on the end is half way out, then slide it out of the hole.
