Hello all.. I just picked up a Automatic 96 Cavalier with the 2.2 ohv engine for a daily driver. I was wondering if anyone could reccomend any CARB legal bolt-ons like Intake and Header for it.
Thanks.

Omg, just by him saying he wants carb legal parts indicates that he lives in california.
Pacesetter header and exhaust are some good 1st carb legal mods.

if you buy pacesetter header, make sure it's ceramic coated because their other ones suck. i know magnaflow's catbacks are CARB exempt as are Thermals.

all cat backs are emissions exempt ,
but in california you have noise laws , and the noise limit is 95 db
and right now the only CARB approved header is pacesetter

Injen and AEM are the only CARB certified intakes for our cars. As of now, Pacesetter is the only CARB certified header for our cars, but I've heard DC Sports and OBX may become certified. As for cat-backs, I would definitely be careful that its not too loud and doesn't get a lot of attention because now cops are able to write you a ticket even if they only think its too loud.
Thanks for the input guys.. Yea.. Im down in San Diego.. smog nazis here.. the cool thing is my Camaro passes with flying colors.. they cant see the cam
anyway.. thanks again guys..

If it comes down to to your car not passing, you can always bribe the inspectors there!

There is no regulating board that oversees the actions of California emission stations!
Here in Arizona, you'll get arrested for bribing an emissions inspector.
I got a question for you Crazed_SS, do they do a tailpipe emissions test to your camaro?

4.4 liters of S-10 and Cavalier pimpin'!
I would suggest contacting the company individually and ask if they ARE carb legal just to make sure before you do anything to fail inspection.
