Cold Air Intake?

I was told that a CAI from a 95-02 Z24 could be put on a ecotec. This true? I would much rather get one from ebay instead of buying one for $200.

I wouldn't chance it. Just buy one for the ecotec.

i dont think it will. the TB on the 2.4 and the eco are positioned differently.
but i would not risk it. just buy an intake that was made for you car

Where can I find one thats not $200? Or should I just get use to these prices and deal with it?

I've had a few people tell me that they go for $20 on ebay. But I can't find one for an 04 at that price.

most intakes are short ram, long ram intakes are rare. being that they are rare, many can charge you 200$ or more for some pipe and a filter.

easy fix, if you want a long ram, buy a short ram, install it. see how much more pipe you need to make it a long ram... add the pipe and connectors. easy to do, can be done for under 80$ or so, and does the same exact thing.

I've noticed a few 2.4 short rams for 04's. But they probably won't fit either huh?

Would I notice much of a difference between a short ram and a long one?

there is really no difference in either intakes IMO. the cold air intake wont do a whole lot when its 90 degrees outside and its sucking in hot air from the outside. and despite what some may think. the air under the hood does move around.

your cheapest place for an intake for your car will probaly Ebay

If you want one that is short ram, check out my sponsor's site. He's a dealer for weapon-r and sells them for good prices.

You have the option of the Secret Weapon Intake or the Dragon Intake.

not looking hard enough.

http://search.ebay.com/ecotec-2-2l_W0QQfkrZ1QQfromZR8QQsatitleZecotecQ202.2l

all i put in was "ecotec 2.2L"

and the second result was cavalier sunfire ecotec 02-05 intake.

when you search for things, try and keep the terms simple.
