Can anybody answer this--2004 Eco, with scanner plugged in my TPS goes from 10% to 87.3% at full throttle. Will this screw with air fuel at full throttle??? There is no adj on the TPS --I looked and Throttle blade appears to be opening all the way????
that's odd. no it won't screw with your air/fuel because the o2 sensor reads based on measuring exhaust not your throttle position.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
^ Not true
During closed loop, where you are keeping a steady speed, then yes, the O2 sensor is what controls the fuel mixture. But in acceleration and deceleration, the computer uses the TPS among other sensors to figure out what amount of fuel to deliver.
What you are seeing is common for the Eco. For some reason the TPS doesn't deliver a 100% signal, either because it really isn't opening all the way, or because the TPS doesn't read it correctly. If its the latter, you may be able to replace it with the 2.4 sensor and have it work.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
Wonder if i take it off and rotate manualy if it will see 100% When i spray and check with my wide band my air-fuel momentarly goes where it should then back to 14+ i wonder if its even going open loop?????????
Your're defiantely seeing the same thing I am in boost. I'm going to try setting up a biasing circuit tonight to see if i can boost the tps voltage enough to get the ECU to read 100% throttle.
Once the ECU is seeing 100% if my ECU is STILL trying to adapt to 14.7 then it's time to bypass the primary o2 sensor at WOT.
With all the people out there that are running spray and or boost on the eco I'm supprised that I haven't heard more complaints of this... So far your the only other person besides myself that I have found to be having this problem.
