I used to sell the adapters $70....... I picked up one of the Phenolic adapters from Exploited. Works pretty nice. After 45min of driving, intake was still cold to the touch (was using an under the hood S tube intake). I recommend Phenolic meterial for the adapters.

But yea, the adapters make installing the HO intake ALOT easier.

Okay everyone, I have a meeting tomorrow morning at the machine shop. I will get a quote on ten or 15 of them. I will shoot for the lowest price possible (Obviously) and want the product to be good. I will look into the material speedracer is talking about and ask if they offer it. Stay tuned everyone.

That would be a waste, when you can buy a block off plate for hte EGR from a GM dealer for 6 bucks.

I finally got my garolite flange to fit (since brian at exploited port matched the flange in the wrong direction) And after 2 hours of driving the intake manifold and intake were cool to the touch. Great material... I think the only reason you would want an aluminum flange is to cut off the old flange on the ho manifold and weld on the new one.

Okay everyone, I just got back from the machine shop. I dropped off many pictures I have gathered and asked him to get me a quote on 20 of them in 1/2 inch Aluminum. He will have a quote for me (after he gets the cost of time and materials) tomorrow. I will be waking up at 5:00AM tomorrow to go to the machine shop at 6:00AM for another meeting so check back tomorrow afternoon for an update.

As said befor, the price will be 55$ Shipped US, and probably a few extra for Canada.

I will be back on tonight. I really need a list of people who are interested so I can get a number to make. I will probably do 20 at first and see if there is a big enough demand for them.

Also upon payment, I will not ask for any payment of any kind until the adaptors are made and ready to be shipped, I dont want anything to happen to cause a problem.

Thanks everyone and stay tuned!

So you're only getting the conversion flanges made up?
Or both regular and conversion?

And where are those 2.3TBs ith brackets you had for sale?

Seems you're getting emails from him.

Ask if there are the garolite/aluminum spacers left.
Would rather have the spacer than stack intake mani. gaskets to get the clearance.

email him...dont make a list... he will get in trouble if you make a list

Re: 2.3 HO Adaptor Plates, Testing Waters, anyone?

No lists please, I have one I made myself, seems I have about 13 people interested in the conversion plates, 3 interested, and 10 serious to buy. I may have 20 made or 15, I am not sure I dont want to over stock and get stuck with these, I am not a business, just trying to help people out thats how I am selling them for 55$ shipped when they cost me pretty close to that to have made, lol.

Also I am not sure about a straight up 2.4 spacer flange, this would be easier to make and probably cheaper, if exploited sells them for 40$ I will see if I can beat that, also would this also be the same 1/2 thick, aluminum, or phenolic?

I asked for the quote to be for the aluminum but I will ask whats the price difference for tehis Garolite/Phenolic material.

As for the 2.3 Throttle Bodies, and the Brackets, I only have one bracket left, and I am going to buy all I can from the junk yard. I just dont know at what price I could sell them at. I was thinking 40$ a TB, mainly because the yard is charging me 30$ each, so to cover my time and cost of gas thats the best I can do. i dont know if anyone would be interested at that price, are there any other competitors that sell, and at what price?

it is now 5:52am, I have to leave in 8 mins for the machine shop, wish me luck and look for an update this afternoon.

Thanks
Chris

Good luck with it.

For the 2.4L straight up flange, alum is fine.
And if the price is a lil more than $40 that's fine too.
I just need the spacer.

And I'd like one of the conversion plates too.
Payday is good.
Taxes on my is not.
Grrrrrr

for those of you looking to put a spacer on your stock manifold...all i have to say is good luck

the stock manifold on a 2.4 is a tight fit as it is. ever tried taking it out? i would do some measuring and make sure you can use a spacer before you have one made for the stock manifold

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE::::

Just returned from the machine shop, here is the story.

The flanges will be made of Garolite for less heat transferring as long as we can keep the cost down which it will. Pricing will be at our targeted 55$ shipped as long as shipping is not outrageous.

As for when they will be released, they should be done being cut 2 weeks after the go ahead from me putting us somewhere around the date of the 20th.

A few things stand in our way though, the machinist would prefer to do one test flange before he cuts all 20 that I am having made. I will just use my spare 2.4 to make sure everything lines up correctly.

Shifted: I am keeping you in mind and want to get you your adaptor before the 30th and will do everything possible to get it to you.

As for the 2.4 spacer flange, I can probably get one made of either Garolite or Aluminum, whichever is cheaper, but how many should I have made, is the demand just for Mastin, or is this an interest for others?

Thanks everyone for your interest and stay tuned because this will happen. Should I do a GP or just request by E mail? Also the one bummer, I will only accept Money orders, or checks I don't prefer paypal.

Thanks Everyone!

Chris

Chris-

Thanks, as long as you keep this to email, and don't start a list here or something, then its pretty much considered a new product announcement.

Let me know if it gets down to the wire, if it does, I have to modify the manifold to fit the head, since I don't have an elbow or charge pipes that are mocked for the stock manifold. I'd pay extra to have you ship it express or somethin. Let me know man, through email.
