98 z24 COOLING FAN INFO (HELP)

Hello All,
the car is a 98 Z24.

problem is when in idle / traffic the fan does not come on at the correct temp and the car begins to overheat.

Its fine when driving

What I have done...

thermostat replaced 1 year ago w/ water pump
replaced fan relay
replaced coolant temp sensor

The fan turns on fine then A/C is active.

I'm stumped..is it a computer problem??

I thank you all for any input you can provide!

Thanx!

That sounds about right for when the fan should turn on. If you want to, you could do the override mod. This puts a toggle switch in line with the power wire for the fan. What this enables you to do is manually turn the fan on when you want to. I would say that your current fan is working properly. I'm sure the temp starts to drop when the fan comes on, Right? If so, I wouldn't worry. So long as you don't go into the red you should be fine.
