Sunday, September 18, 2005 1:31 PM
I have a 96 Z and one night my dash lights went out and a week later someone told me my taillights were out so i run through the fuses and i noticed my EXT LAMP fuse was blown so i put a new 30 in and turned on my lights and it blew it instantly along with my radio fuse. when i turn the lights on my headlights work. when i hit my blinkers the front and back blink but then when they go off there are no tail lights. also when i hit the brakes the tail lights come on but thats all so cant someone help me out

i think that aluminum wing is causing it..lol jk do u have the stock bumper lights pluged in.. if your lights wont work do u remember them all being on before?.. id just go make sure all the bulds are in the sockets to begin with . do u have a 3rd brake light. i would assume so on the stock z spoiler?. does that light up with the brakes?

The tail lights. Pull the bulbs. Replace them. Spray electrial cleaner in the sockets. Remove any debree from the sockets. Look at wireing for bare conductor and patch them with ruber spliceing tape (better than vinal electrial tape). Check you front turn signal bulbs as well as your side markers (on older j-bodies).
