Speedo problems
Thursday, August 11, 2005 7:35 AM
Yesterday while travelling on the interstate, I noticed a slight problem that started to arise on my Cavy... When reaching speeds of 55+ the speedometer needle starts rapidly dropping and raising around 10 mph + or - of my actual speed. What may be causing this, and how can I fix it?

depends. if it is the vss, when you take it out, look at the sensor and see if there is metal shavings on it. if theres alot of metal shavings on it then well yea, start saving for the new trans because in about a month, it will go.

well, I went ahead and installed my intake and exhaust. So far the Speedometer seems to be working properly again... but even before, it was pretty inconsistent in having a problem. I hope it stays how it is now.

that why i said check the wheel sensor. if it only seems to happen when you get to like 50mph, its probably just road vibation causing the sensor to rattle a little
