hub bearings

so my 'mechanic' (my brother) tells me when he drops my car off at my house that i need to replace my front hub bearings. ok, fine. he checked prices and can get each for about 75$ at advance auto.

my question- anybody make an 'aftermarket' hub bearing that may weigh less or be stronger (materials wise)? or just get the stuff from advance?

I would just suggest buying one with a lifetime warranty. Mine cost about $100 each, with a lifetime warranty, $75 each with 1 yr, and I believe $50 or so with no warranty.

Warranty is everything. Buy it once, and you're good to go.

Advance auto has 2 of em- $60 for a 1 yr, and 75 for a 2 year (and my brother says its a better brand).

I have always found quality parts that you don't have to worry about at Carquest. The price will most likely reflect the quality of the part.
