Well i dont kno what the hell happened..... I just replaced the injectors and rail cause the other rail was leaking. I used the HO rail and injectors. I had the injectors on the car in the old rail and they were running great. I got it all installed fixed the leaks and all was good......i leaked some gas onto the manni and injector harnesses. cleaned it up as best i could and went for a drive. I have a cartech FPR and was running 55 PSI. She felt good in all ranges. tho i didnt push it too hard afraid that it mite leak or sumthin (paranoid) i got to the wash bay and all looked ok. i washed the car and also sprayed the bay. Covering the filter of course. Started up rolled her out and dried it off.....Headed for a drive and pushed the car a lil more. its ok. Driving along @ about 3500 or so car goes to complete @!#$, no code, cust starts shakin bad, and running horrid. i push the gas and the rpms are all over and i have no power, just sputters. I pull over shut her down. i assume leaking injector, but nuttin. i start her up, runs fine, rev it up to like 3500-4K its fine. Drive it a lil more, nothin. Go around for a bit and using different spots all over the band and it does it again, sputters and runs like ass. i let it run and it smooths out after bout 10-15 secs @ idle. got her home and parked it. Left it overnite and 3/4 of the day today. Went for a drive @ about 3K it turns to @!#$ again sputtering and making horrible noise. it stalls. i restart it and it sputters and then makes some noises and stops. i push it into a parking spot and leave it. I had an appointment w/ points for an officer giving me 5 tickets, after that was done went back and now when i turn the key i get like a click (turn over sound) for like a second and then nothing. I can hear the fuel pump on and the started trying, but it wont crank.........
Please help meeee !!!!! Sorry for the book on this.....

Alright first thing is get it home and try to turn over the engine by hand. Pull the spark plugs so nothing will interfer with it spinning easy. If it turns over I'd say bad injector
prob sticking open at times allowing way too much fuel into the cylinder. Get enough fuel and you get hydostatic lock. Liquid can not be compressed so the engine can't start. Pull the plugs and see if any fuel comes out. Of corse if it doesn't spin after you pull the plugs then you may be in real trouble.
Good luck.

I've always assumed a motor would seize up by not having oil... ?
Being as you just replaced your injectors- and a few other things, Id say it has something to with the fuel system..
As for the car not cranking- might sound silly, but hook up a jumper pack to the battery to ensure it has enought voltage to engage the starter...

I tried boosting it......tried twice, leaving it on there for 5 mins @ least each time......nothing....... Well i decided to check the hydralock avenue, and pulled the plugs, appearing to be needing a regap all looked fine with the exception of #3, the tip was touching the contact, and it looks like a piece of the insulator is absent..........it was also soaked in fuel. After removing the plugs i tried cranking it over with the key and still nothing.........im gunna try cranking it by hand @ the crank pully and see where that gets me........if that goes well, im gunna do a compression test and see where that goes......hope the motor is fine........
check the ground cable. Even if you boost it and the ground or positive cable is loose, it won't start. you can hear the fuel pump but it won't start. The starter can be lock too.
2nd. Get the pressure down to 35psi. The Ho injectors clip at 60 and you have way too much fuel right now. The stock injectors are 24 at 45psi right? now you use some 32lbs at 55psi. You're dumping too much fuel.
When the gauge go all over the place, it's not the engine. It's either the alt, the battery or a ground cable so forget the engine, it's fine.

Sounds like the injector on #3 is hanging open and spraying to much fuel. If it spins over replace the plug and injector on #3 and do like mfk said drop that presure some.
good luck.

so then i should still try cranking it over @ the pully then ??? What could cause the plug to get fukked like that if not the piston hittin it ??? could heat have warped the tip or a detonation in the chamber..........id make a lil vid of what its doin but i cant record sound with my digi cam............ when i turn the key it sounds like it wants to turn over, and if i hold the key on for a sec. or two i can hear a high pitch not too loud whine......im guessing from the starter ???
also is there a way to bypass the starter to see if thats causing the problem ?? or by cranking it by hand ill have my answer..........where is the starter on these basterds ??? its in the front near the cooling fan.. no ??
Well i popped the plugs out again today when i had the daylight. Using an LED flashlight i was able to see one of the pistons about an inch maybe less from TDC and i could see one or 2 pieces of metal in there as well kinda off to the side, not in plain site. i cant get them out cause they are caught between the head and the piston, which could be why the motor wont crank over......
Iam thinking that maybe the timing chain tension loosened or wore out and then chain went loose, this problem was only evident under higher engine stress. When it did it for the last time, perhaps the chain jumped a tooth or two totally pulling the timing and choking out the motor. When i tried to restart it, the piston contacted the valves and or the plug and facked it all over..........
Is this scenario possible ?? i can see metal in there and its seems to be wedged.....if i push start the car i met get it to do a rep. and get the pieces out......
Sounds like detonatioin to me.
I could be wrong with not seeing the damage, but sounds likely.
Sorry for your loss man.
You need to pull the head. If theres something in there.... well there shouldn't be anything in there. Big pieces of metal usually mean valve, but without seeing its hard to say. Pull the head and go from there.
