I have a 97 Cavalier 2.2 Auto
From time to time it idols rough, really rough. It only happens until I go to accelerate and one I stop again it usually doesn't do it again, not always, but usually. What could cause this? It has new plugs and wires, could it be the head gasket? I haven't seen any coolant in my oil, possibly moisture in the air causing a wrong reading? The air filter is tight and fairly new.
Also when I put it in gear and take off initally there is a hesitation, almost like the clutch isn't grabing. Any ideas? Cars never beat on and trans fluid was recently changed
Also how's this sea foam? Any link to info on it or how to use it would be greatly appreciated.

The clutch isnt grabbing i know that for a fact. You should toss in a Spec Stage 2+, that clutch will be fine if your not boosted.
I work check, clean, or replace your Idle Air Control valve(IAC). My 03' has an idle problem once in a while and i pulled and cleaned my IAC and it hasnt actedt up yet. Just pick up a can of carb cleaner and spray it down.

The car has an automatic transmission, I think it's holding up pretty well, how many miles are these trannys usually good for?
I'll try clening the iac and see if that works, otherwise if I can get a good deal on a new one i'll just replace it.
Anyone have any info on the Sea Foam?
Also how difficult is it to replace the motors in the windows? My passengers side window never rolls up all the way, I need to wait and let it sit for a bit until it will roll up any more. This heat is not helping any either.
