So I got a new car last summer and starting working on the widebody for the fire. Since my garage isn't heated, the project has been on hold for the winter, and the car has just been sitting there. I went to start it the other day and the battery was dead (since my system is still hooked u I'm assuming that drained it).
Anyways, I charged the battery back up, but can't get it to start. The lights will come on when I turn the key, but it doesn't seem to do much else. Sometimes it makes a little noise like ti is attempting to start, and other times I turn the key and nothing happens. Does anyone know what could be wrong or some different things I could try?
Thanks in advance.

When you turn the ignition on, can you hear the fuel pump prime itself? It could be the problem. Check to make sure your battery is strong enough to turn the engine, it may be a dead battery, not just low on juice, but not able to hold enough power to start the car. Might sound silly, but make sure you have gas in the car. Finally, check your fuses. Both in the dash, and under the hood. After that, i dont know what to say.

After I posted this yesterday I was out messing around with the car for a while. I thought maybe it was the spark plugs, so I went and bought new ones. That didn't seem to help, so on a whim I took the battery out of my other car and threw it in the Sunfire. It would then attempt to start, and seems like it is not "catching" or "sparking" to finish the startup. So now I'm wondering if I installed the spark plugs correctly. Does it sounds like that may be the case now?

I would check the gap on the plugs and yea the other battery you used did it have the same or more cold crank amps and you might try a little strating fluid for firing it up the first time. The plugs are fine as long as their the right gap. Try a new battery or try to jump the car with another.
