What engine is this for? Im assuming 2.4. I always just use the fuel rail bolts as the alignment pins and use the sprocket bolt to turn the camshaft. The dealer I worked in didnt even have these tools.

Question, i have a 96 2.4 with about 100,000 on the motor and im in the process of replacing the head gasket on it. While im in there do you think i should replace the chain and the tensioner? I dont beat on my motor at all if that helps determan anything.

Replace the chain, tensioner, tensioner shoe, ( I replaced the 3 guides as well), water pump, thermostat while you are that far into it. I would also recommend changing the power steering lines while you have it tore apart. Makes it easier to get to the hoses down by the rack. Both my 97's where slow leakers and the hoses where always wet. So they got done when everything else was being done.

Have fun, just finishing up one of mine.
