so what does this michigan forum call those really hot country belles driving a lifted pickup truck with 33's?

technically many would argue a truck is a mans vehicle, but lets face it....some guys are punk b****es, and some very hot women wear the pants.

main point, if you believe in some idiots comments calling your car a girls car, then he may be right.

personally a car is what you make it.

ha ha yeah i get it all the time. i swear to god there are 7 pontiac sunfires in the Northern VA area and i am the only guy who is driving one.

i think the shining moment was when my g/f was hollered at from a guy in his honda:

"Hey girl, your boy drives a little B!#ch car. you should hop in with a REAL man!"

She looked over at him and, before i could even retort, said....

"Where? all i see is my man and a little $h!t in a little go-cart Honda!"

...I didnt stop laughing for three blocks.

I'll eventually take the time to put something here. I swear.

Very true and THAT'S why they drive trucks. Some guys think driving a truck makes you look like less of a little b*tch...I say it puts a target on your back. You under double gay suspicion if you don't actually use that truck to off-road, haul, or tow. A spotless shinny lifted truck screams "I’m a poseur!"

i always get that..we all do..girly car this, girly car that...and the main one i hear all the time is "why would you put that much money into a cavalier?"..when they typically drive a 1990 civic with a shopping cart wing....and a autozone can.

Or a Taurus, Corsica, or Lumina their parents got or passed down to them.
But that's not girly...that's "brokeass". I'd rather have a nice (supposed) Girly Cavalier with some $$$ invested in nice mods than my parents old car and look like a brokeass

Personally I see you post on Xceed, and you asked, so why not? I feel you try to hard to fit in over there as a "Cavalier owner", when you simply won't. Not saying as a person. I know you just recently acquired the Cavalier.

Honestly, why care what a bunch of hacks with Civics and 1g's think? I've seen a handful of members/cars on there that I admire, the rest are kids pretending to be enthusiasts.

And really on that note. The quality of members on Xceed peaked around 2004, nowadays that forum has slid down to what amounts to the breeding ground for e-ricers. It was a really awesome forum for local "tuners" and serious car organizations in it's first few years, but it degraded quickly to the point where I stopped going anymore, and that was around 2005'ish. I've never gone back, i see it never got better. That's a shame.

I get the girly car thing a lot too. Their idiots.

I think people make fun of it more often than not just because it's a Sunfire and that's it....

I did have a guy at work call it a sports car though once... LOL

I'm becoming tempted to carry a One Hundred dollar bill around with me and whenever someone makes fun of my car... just pull it out and tell them I got a hundred bucks that says I'm faster than that POS your driving.... and either they will have to back down or loose $100. (most people that pull that crap drive something significantly slower than my car)

I've never been told my car was girly... I've been told it's "just a Cavalier" but I usually get good comments. I guess because I did it up clean and not like a lot of ricers around here who put on parkbenches and fart cans.

One kid even told me that from the side it looked liek a BMW, HAHA. I've also gotten the "Wow, that's a Cavalier? It certainly doesn't look like one"

I know. I really enjoy going to meets and such, but they always have something negative to say about what I've driven. I basically don't care anymore. I told everyone that their opinions don't mean jack@!#$ to me. I do not see where they can view my car as a girly car, but whatever, their problem.

i thought it was clear before. cavaliers and sunfires are cars typically associated with female drivers hence why you get you drive a girls car.

what I want to know...

what kinda of girl would drive a gay tan cavalier with a manual trans and no options, not even a tape player

Just look in the mirror........

I know what your saying.... you just left yourself open for that and I couldn't resist.

The way I see it is that a real man can drive anything and make it look good. The guys with the F-bodies and raised up pickup trucks that call our cars girly are the same guys that are so insecure with their sexuality that they have to do everything they can to prove to themselves they aren't gay (although they know they are).

Hell.... I'd go downtown rockin a pink bicycle with handlebar tassels and all and not think twice about it..... and if someone gave me @!#$..... Ide kick their ass. "You got something to say about my girly bike mother fu@#er!!! " LOL

Anyone who ever says something like that towards me, I don't really care enough to respond. Neither should you.
