Since you're calling it as you see it... Would you mind showing me where he made this "promiss"?

haha, id say thouroughly owned...

Why do you need a notice on the home page? There are numerous people that have the yellow ribbons in their sigs for Saint. There were flowers and other items donated to the family for the service and such.

Maybe Dave has his own reasons for not posting it. This isn't a public board, it's privately owned. He can do what he wants.

Before you start bashing me I've got family in the military. My brother in law was in Iraq for quite a long time. I just think you guys are taking this too far.

a notice about saint isnt needed , but its a thoughtful gesture (something not so common in some people)... and if it was promissed(which is definately was), than i dont see a problem... and if dave really did have a problem with this, i would hope by now he wouldve come foreward and said something to those who have asked him repeatedly to follow through on something promissed for a fallen soldier ... because im sure that wouldnt lead to a big outburst in flaming him... becuase he has his opinions and like it or not, his is final... but it was a promise to all of anyone who cares. and believe it or not there are some who do.. hence this thread... if you dont care, or dont "consider saint a hero" fine, thats your opinion, but it doesnt belong here... because this is a simple request to remember someone who was a part of this community.. and any decent member should want to recognize someone for doing something this noble (sacraficing his life VOLUNTARILY)... but again everyone is entitled to their opinion. but please remember, this has nothing to do with the war itself... its not asking to support the war.. just someone who died doing something honorable..

You have a point, I wasn't trying to start a fight with my opinion. On a side note, sentences have only one period at the end.

it wasnt necessarily directed at you per say, more than a general comment on something you mentioned. because i also dont mean to start a fight. honestly this is my opinion as well, so take it as you will. but i truly believe in

and as a reflection on the "side note", yes, they do typically end with one period, very good... but that(...) = a pause (internet language), and it was also said in this thread, this is the internet, not english class...

oops didnt quite finnish my thought...

i truely believe in honoring a fallen soldier, or anyone who has fallen to means such as these. and ill say it again, i hope this matter can be resolved SOONER rather than LATER. . .

I still don't see where Dave says "I promise to put up a memorial for this fallen soldier"... I see him making a statement that he'll put up what he has... followed by Jackalope making assumptions that it's a promise... followed by Dave saying whatever it takes to shut Jackalope up... Sorry... I just don't interpret it that way.

Ah I see the problem Bilz you want to see the words "I DAVE DO PROMISS" Well I don't know about where your from or how things work out there but around here when a man says hes gonna do something then its basicly a promiss. All a man has in this life is his word and his word should be in itself a promiss. I guess I'm too old fashioned in my thinking that a mans word should be his promiss. I mean now days where you can argue what the definition of "IS" is and use that double talk BS to get yourself out of trouble I can see how you'd become sinicle and doubting of such an idea.

Basicly when a man gives his word its a promiss. The words "I promiss" shouldn't HAVE to be said for it to mean the same thing.

And about "shutting me up" its a lot harder to do then this. I've got a big ass mouth and a loooooong memory so shutting me up is next to impossible. But by all means your absolutly more then welcome to give it a go and see how far you get.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

LOL Karo! Your a trip dude.

Wow Bliz I never knew you felt that way. I .....I'm touched, what can I say.....I love you too man. :::::HUG:::::

I'm no moral crusader man its just I was over there for the first go round under his daddy and I made it home safe and sound and in one piece. I feel a certain obligation to remember those who are not as lucky as I am to have survived. I just for the life of me can not understand why you have such a problem with this ? Its like your getting pissy because we want to remember and set aside a special place for Saint because he died in service to his country. He was a member of our family ( albeit its a dysfuntional one ) and now because of him volenteering to serve his country and ultimatly all of us hes gone and you object to him being called a hero and to getting a memorial or anything it would seem. I understand you may oppose the war but the soldiers are only following the orders of the superior officers and the elecid officials in charge of them. It is not a soldiers place to question but only to do what he is ordered to. Dave may or may not ever put up the memorial he promissed and thats fine this is HIS site and what he says goes. Would you have a problem if one of our police officer members were killed in the line of duty getting remembered? What of a fire fighter getting killed battleing a house fire ? Its the same thing and I must say your comeing off very very poorly in your actions by bad mouthing a dead mans memory. :::::Shakes head:::::

I want to see this also. Regardless of politics, he was an American who was fighting for OUR cause. he gave his life for us. He gave the ultimate price so we canlive not having to worry about S!#%. (not bringing in politics)

Plus he was a native New Englander. We stick together.

I would bet if you polled the .ORG if this should get made or not. The numbers for it would be massive.

If not a memorial for Saint himself, then a memorial for all who have died in the wars would do.

You all should be ashamed of yourselves. You might think that fighting for a memorial for a fallen soldier is the right thing to do, but let the situation go. Let's let these drama threads disappear out of sight. Contact Dave if you have am issue. Hell, use the Forum Moderator contact link so it goes to all of the mods and do that until you get a response. You don't need to do this publicly.

First off this is like the only thread about it and second off all what drama. There was like a couple minor dissagreements and i think everyone including the people arguing the other side have kept it pretty civil. Your post however is just add fuel to fire....

Re: My what short memories the org has.

Hey hey, Roscoe? Stop being so defensive. Just so you know, all you're doing is responding to my "fuel." Jackalope was sensitive enough to respond to me via PM. Are my opinions not valued because I'm not jumping on the bandwagon?

Alexis had a wonderful idea.

Everyone with comments or concerns about Saints memorial I would direct you to please PM either Dave or any of the Mods as to when we could expect this. Or feel free to E-mail Dave or any of the Mods as to when this may happen.

I am no longer going to post or argue this here as its only dis-respecting to Saint and his memory. Feel free to PM me if you'd like. And thank you again Alexis for pointing this out.

Please don't send your concerns to us. We have no control over or affiliation with this matter, so all you would be doing is spamming our Inboxes. It's not that we care or that we don't care, it's just that there's just nothing that we can do that anyone else cannot.

Thanks,
