EMERGENCY~! EMERGENCY~! EMERGENCY~!

My noob self did something EXTREMELY STUPID today. When i shaved off the trim on my J-body, i accidently made small scratces. And today, I tried to wet sand it. BAD IDEA. When its DRY, it looks white, like there is smaller scratches in the clear coat or something. And i put some wax on it figureing that would fill in the small scratces. Well it did work. But as soon as the light catches it in the right direction, you can see the small scratches. Im entered into a car show at the end of thsi week. and i need something to hide those scratches. So if you would be so kind as help me out. PLEASE~!~!~!

Thanks Guys;

I know I am a noob, for a while now.

Might i add that i used 400 Grit???? That makes it even worse. I think if i got some maybe 5000 grit, or something like that it should take them out....right>????

5000 grit would be a soft rag, use 1500 grit to even it out, then get some 3M rubbing compound and buff it out. Then wax it.

dont ever use dish soap on your paint, trust me.......... the stuff is super concentrated and can actually hurt your paint. Use automotive soap to do it

if your going to use any kind of soap to wet sand use DOVE it doesnt have any kind of additives in it. I would never use any other kind of soap to wet sand... then again i myself would just use water and no soap anyways
