Disabling DRL'S(problem)

I did everything in the sticky and they stayed on and threw a service light also.I read in the sticky that it was the dark blue wire you are supposed to cut and that there was only supposed to be one blue wire period, but on my plug there is a light blue wire also. What could be the problem?

You did ground the wire after you cut it, right? And made sure the plug was back in?

Would plugging back the plug before you ground it make a difference?

It sounds like a grounding issue. Did you ground the correct wire? Maybe you don't have it grounded in a good spot.

I grounded it in the same spot as in the sticky.

You could try a different spot or be sure there is no paint covering the metal for good contact. Is you service engine light still on? If so you should unscrew the wire you have grounded and connect it to the other side of the blue wire you cut. This will complete the circuit as if you never cut it and start you car to see if the service light goes away. If it stays on then something else is wrong but if it goes off than you don't have it wired right.

If I get a moment I'll look in my car to see how I have it wired
