Just got a 2005 Sunfire and it came with blown out speakers. I've put in head units with no problem but never speakers. What the heck sizes do I need?? I'm seeing I need 4x6 up front and 6 1/2s in the back, but also have seen I need components. Need help! I want to make it an EASY install too.

4x6" front, 6x9" rears. You dont need components, the extra tweeter in the door panal is seperate. It can stay there with no issues.

If you want an upgrade however, Id look into 6.5" speakers for the front doors. Not hard to do, maybe an extra 45 mins of work.

Thanks man! I think I'll take a chance trying to put 5 1/4's in the doors on my first ever speaker project, hell why not?!! Can't wait to start ripping stuff apart.

Speakers are like childs play compared to wiring up a HU. Def go with the 6.5 comps upfront.

Just remember, With such low powered speakers, that you dont jack up the bass, or amp them. There not gonna take that too well.

Thanks for the advice. I just hope they have at least a lil bump to them. I'm going for a new job so hopefully I'll land that and start to enjoy my new Sunfire the right way!
