(2004 cav) i want to get some more power to use on the track but to be okay to use driving me around. i dont have $2500 for a gm one but i dont mind getting the s/c off ebay then parting it together. which eaton s/c do you think would be my best bet? thanks a ton.

get the GM kit... why spend loads more money and time and research into getting a manifold and piecing together every little bit when you can get the one made for the vehicle cheaper, faster, and complete?

Until you understand how a S/C and J-body work together, and what's involved (and that means search, don't ask), then you're not ready for boost. If you actually think it's as simple as picking a blower and bang you're done, you're sorely misguided.

BUT if the blower he is picking is the GM blower kit.... then BANG he is done haha

No way man. Have you ever seen the J Body specific kit. There's TONS of parts you need. You in no way can beat the price of a new and complete kit. It's insane how many little parts are necessary. Bolts, nuts, brackets, hoses, etc.

This guy is right. There are so many needed parts that you will be far better off to just buy the kit.

no i understand that there is a lot more to it than just a blower, im not a complete newb when it comes to boost, i know how they work and how much is involved to it. isnt this site made for people to ask questions about j-bodys??? every time i do a search on here either the links no longer exsist, the pictures no longer load and everyone talking about the topic strays off into something completely different thats why i ask. if your sick of reading these common questions than simply dont waste your time replying to them. thanks though im deff just going to save for the gm kit cuz the amount of parts is seriously going to be difficult to get together. thanks for the replies!
Yep me and you both man, $2500 = happiness!!! I have the mondy I just can't install it till college ends in June!!!
