More boost questions

Im going to be using an ebay style log manifold with external wg, and im facing my compressor side of my turbo towards the passenger side. Now I fit them together, and it looks like the wastegate will hit the intake opening on the turbo. I dont have a wg yet to test it, but Im almost positive it wouldnt fit.

So what I was thinking, is get another t3/t4 style turbo flange to use as a spacer to extend the turbo out and make room for the wastegate. What do you think about that, and if so where can I get 2 gaskets to put on each side of the flange? I have gasket material but I think its a bad idea to use the cardboard style gaskets on the turbo, even if I made them thicker. The flange will prolly be about 1/2"-3/4", which I think would give me enough room and shouldnt have any clearance problems with the firewall. Ive found sets of the t3 flange and 5 bolt downpipe flange with 5 bolt gasket for like $20 shipped on ebay, but I just need to find the t3 style metal gaskets.

I also was just wondering, has anyone ever used the gm upgraded stage injectors for the lsj on their j? Im going to be using stock lsj injectors now, but next year I plan to build a motor and see much more boost, and I was thinking since they arent too expensive and plug right in why not? I believe the gm upgrades include 42lbs and 60lbs for stage 2 and 3 or whatever. Prolly could be found for cheaper than rc's and plug in using the stock connectors.

I still have yet to find someone closer to me with hpt, as I would rather use hpt over an fmu. And Im pretty sure I wont be able to get the reflash without the injectors and map correct?

Thanks.

I'm not exactly sure what you're taling about but it seems easier to relocate the wastegate with a spacer than to relocate the turbo.. I made a spacer on my eco for my WG

It wouldnt fit. It would sit it up higher but still would hit my compressor side. I need to extend my turbo out more then it looks like it should fit.

I bought a 1/2" 304 Stainless T3 flange and wastegate flange from... here...nice solid pieces
They have gaskets as well.

I bought a t3 flange to extend my turbo out to make room for my wg, hopefully it will or Ill have to think of something else. Got it with a 5 bolt downpipe flange and gasket for like $22 shipped for both Both are mild steel though, as I needed steel for the downpipe flange cause I dont have gas to weld stainless.

Anyone know about the upgraded lsj injectors? Just wondering if anyone had ever thought about or used them.

Do some research. I plan to run 6-8psi on my stock 2.4, and Im not worried about a thing. Its not about how much boost you can run, but about how much power your making and what condition your motors in that can cause problems. As long as you have the fuel setup to support it and a good tune youll be ok with 6-8psi.
