Well I really would like 2 know what it sounds like. Is there a blow off valve for it? looking for a 2.4 non eco to be specific but any will do.
look for rksport's post in other cars , the vid is of the stage 2 kit on the cobalt
so it will sound a little louder than the cav's will
or you can look through photos and media , for airtonics posts with his cav
same charger , so same sounds , for the same boost level
Check out the links to my vids at the track on this post:
Link YOu can hear the s/c on two of the vids I think

i miss that sound though

you can hear it big time in this video...

and here is the one of me racing my buddys srt-4 last year... i wont get into details but there were some major problems after 2nd gear.... hence the 15.9 i belive it was, but you can still hear the s/c'er over both our exhaust and his turbo/BOV

OK thats it im going to get a m62 intercooled and the h/o intake and shoot for 15lb. I was going to get the gmpp and add a 50 shot. But I think the m62 will be a lil better.
How are you going to put a M62 with HO Intake on a 2.4?! LOL

A lil work lol ... I will probly need to cut and glass a bubble in the hood for a lil more room though...
I don't think you quite understand...The M62 is made for an Ecotec motor, not the 2.4L It is made to replace the intake manifold and is nothing like the 2.4L intake. So how do you plan on putting an HO intake manifold on a 2.4L and route the air to the HO manifold?! Not to mention there wouldn't be any room to fit the supercharger, even if you did mess with your hood...

^^^Thanks for posting that. I saw that eBay auction yesterday and almost crapped my pants :-) It is nearly impossible to do it that way "correctly and efficiently" unless you have mad aluminum welding and fab skills. And even then, it seems like a whole lot of time, money and energy that could be spent on a different setup that is much more simple and efficient.
Racer098 doesn't understand how the air actually gets from the supercharger to the intake side of the head. You can't just throw this thing under the hood somewhere and hope the air gets into the TB, LOL.

weilding is easy plus I have access to a mill and a layth and know how 2 use them . I was thinking of using the m62 like a turbo and putting a waste gate on the charge pipe. same as a turbo set up but not using the exhaust...lol should run cooler. the fab would only take a day or 2. the rest I can buy. like I said before the room is the only problem but my dad has his own body shop. so we should be able to modify the hood a little.
see what I mean? something like this mount to the bottom of the charger. Then just figure how to mount the charger. cant do that till I get one. the rest is just a mount to get an air cleaner on the charger. intercooler and charge pipes. well you get the picture.
This is a useless discussion....you just don't understand. And if you can't spell welding or lathe correctly, I am scared as to what this could turn out to be. No offense. But you just don't understand the complexity of such a feat and how much work, design, and fab actually goes into it.
And you think the fab would only take a day or two?!

Maybe when hell freezes over. This is not as simple as you think.

anyone have a sound clip of a rsm charger on the car??
thnx
Think of a jet flying by.... Then put that sound into a cavalier.... thats all at idle LOL.
Then imagine the car only running 15s on a really good day
in short dont buy the RSM kit even if it was a dollar.
hahaha i wont dont worry, i just need a clip of how the v9 sounds..... im not going to use it on a cav or a jbody.....
