i have a pioneer 12' sub and i dont remember what model but i know about 600w max can go to it, and i have two of those powered by 1000w pyramid amp. the problem is, that whenever i turn the car one, you can hear the door chimes through the sub, i have no idea how to fix this... also, is that too much power going to those subs? any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ashley
Chances are there's enough power going to the subs, just being the fact that the pyramid amp is only 1000 watts max, and well thats not the rms rating so thats not what it will actually put out. And I don't know about the chime, never had to deal with something like that yet, so sorry I can't help with that part.
I just had an idea however but I need to know what year and model your car is please.
also, it is a stock cd player. I also want to fix the voices coming out of the sub because someone told me that it would ruin the subs. I don't know if these subs or the amp or what but i just think that the more the chimes go through it that maybe they might be ruined and id have to buy new subs..... any info would be really helpful, i might just even scrap the whole system and sell it and get a new one. its bad enough the box barely fits in the trunk lol
thoes are some decent subs its not thier fualt
it does have a switch that does say HPF LPF and full but when i put it to LPF you can still hear voices... and yes i do have rca's running to a box where i had to put all my wires in, i dont know whats up cause its never done this before... thanks a lot for all of you that reply though, i really appreciate it.
Ash
There should be a LPF adjustment, somewhere from maybe 50-200ish. Adjust that knob lower so the voices don't play. Put it around 80 or 90.
Beat it like it owes you money
i've tried it before but no luck, i think im just screwed.
alright so i guess im screwed because ive tried everything, thanks everyone for your help
