any change is going to be minimal, your sound quality may improve a little and u may gain a small amount of spl. but i wouldnt hold your breath for something dramatic.

ok thanks thats exactly what i wanted to know. but one more question. since i am running my subs off a 4 channell amp (run on 2 channell mono) i have a decent set of dual voice coil 6x9's in the rear, what if i used 2 channels for them, and 2 for my subs. would i lose alot of bass? or gain in anyway??? sorry i am new to this stuff...

4 channel amps are not meant for subs. Get a nice 2 channel or mono amp and wire it accordingly - will do more good than changing subs for sure. Then you can use the 4 channel for your front speakers/rear speakers.

i'd leave it the way it is, keep as much of the sound up front, make sure your fronts are amped verus the rear. and as long as your not needing tons of bass theres no reason why u can't run a 4 channel amp for your bass, when i competed i ran 6 speakers and a 12" sub off of a 135 watt 4 channel amp.
