Wiring in a cluster guages?
Sunday, October 28, 2007 9:51 AM
I am wanting to wire in some cluster gauges. a Voltage(or Current) gauge, and Oil Presure gauge, Turbo will be a future add on(or Vacuum)? On a 1998 Sunbird 2.2L. So what I am wonder moreless, Is I need to know if I get these guages. The Oil presure seem to be the one I am most concerted to do. How would I wire this one to without have a problem with the PCM? Or will it matter?

First of all, I'm guessing you have a Sunfire, not a Sunbird, since you're in the 3rd gen forum.

As far as the oil pressure, you need to get a sending unit for it. Most aftermarket gauges do not work off the factory oil sending unit.

exactly. the factory oil pressure sender is an on/off type. in order to use a oil pressure gauge, you need to add a sender.
