Just wondering if u guys know of any open positions anywhere... Im looking for something with cars preferably but Advance Auto Parts isnt cutting it. I would really like to work at a dealership, like washing cars, moving them, oil changes, or whatever. Even something in body work might be cool. Help me out Thanx

/\ /\ /\ Well never mind Ellicott city would be a little toooo far to come.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
Just go to the nearest dealership and ask them what they've got for jobs. You might need some education to be a techie, but I don't see why you can't wash and prep.
Does it go faster?
i live by york and have applied at 3 dealerships so far and none have even called me back, 2 of the 3 even said they were willin to train
ill give you a broken light blub and a 50 cent piece for each handjob you give me.

I just applied for a job at the Lancaster County Prison. They pay decent and have awesome benefits. It's not cars but it's better than AAP.
I hear there is a big market in losing races...you would be good at that LOL

If you have ASE through Advance, I'm sure that makes you more in demand then Billy Bob at the gas station down the road.

I work for Advance, and I love the discounts!! Hehe....yeah, I'd rather be workin on cars too. Good luck, I would have had a job at a dealership if I had ASE---just so ya know.

Ban low-performance cars, not high-performance ones.
i was going to say if u lived in Ct. i work at an audi dealership as a tech, and were always looking for lot attendants and people like that. it pays well. probally 10-12 bux an hour. just an idea if u asked dealerships if they have any open positions for lot attendants. they move cars, drive them down to the shop area, deliver cars to customers and things like that. good luck in your search.

I hear ya, trust me! Yeah, I work only Friday and Saturday, every other week because I am a student 50 miles away---no point in goin back every week for 2 or 3 days of work. I will admit, I work my ass off because no one else does, but I love the people that walk in that have no idea what to do; or the guys that know EVERYTHING---you learn so much. I just wish they had a shop to work on cars too!
Sam
PS: Good luck, again!
