Me and my wife and son are thinking about going to chicago for a weekend. Anything we shouldn't miss while we are there?

Things you shouldn't do.....
-drive between the hours of 6am-8am and again from 4:30pm-6:30pm
-expect to park for less then $15 (if you go to the sears tower its $18 for the first 1/2 hour of parking)
-walk around in areas with the flashing blue lights on poles....
-drive anywhere in Chicago with a lowered car

Millenium park is cool, Wrigleyville is a good time during a cubs home game, the beach is fun, theres alot of museums and stuff downtown. My advice... get a hotel right in the middle of downtown and stick to that area, theres even a zoo downtown lol. Also you may consider coming during the taste of Chicago, the 4th or July fireworks are usually pretty crazy.

Hey now ryan I drove my car all over in chicago. It shouldbe park anywhere with a lowered car hahaha. Those inclines in the garages can be killer.

I would have to say hit up the shed aquarium and the zoo and take the fairy across the lake that is always fun.

Sounds good guys. We planned to get a hotel right down town. I figured parking would be the same as st. louis. expensive as @!#$. i wonder if i can find a hotel that has free parking for it's visitors

Steven, yes, there are several hotels off of Michigan Ave (Cat will really like the shopping down that street), also known as the Miracle Mile, and they offer free parking. The zoo is pretty awesome, and free, just pay $2 for parking. Like Darkstars said, Wrigley, also I hear Soldier Field is really cool to visit and tour. Sears tower was also really cool. We parked about 2 blocks away, and got some decent parking, cheap. Also visit the Navy Pier. The Children's Science Museum is down there, and is pretty cool. There are alsso some shopping there with pubs and outdoor artists. HAve Fun!

mosdef get a hotel on the magnificent mile, ive been twice, once at the marriott on the magnificent mile, once in northshore at a renaissance by marriott,,,,,,, both were amazing hotels, (which i got for cheap as hell since i work for marriott) but for convenience sake get in the heart of downtown, you can walk most anywhere you'd wanna go

giordonos= bad@ss deep dish.. navy pier, and drive a car with ground clearance, you wont regret it
