putting a blowoff value on a stock engine?
Monday, July 11, 2011 1:55 PM
hey I was wondering if you would be able to put a blow off value on a stock engine with out putting a turbo and every thing in it. Does it hurt the car if you do. If you can put a blowoff in what do you have to do? Thanks cj

A blow off valve will do nothing on a stock motor. What exactly are you trying to do here?

You can, but it wont do anything. A blow off valve releases positive pressure from the charge pipes. Your intake will never see positive pressure.

its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa

In all seriousness if you want a whislting noise when you excelerate. Get a short tube intake with a cone filter and a bigger throttle body..

I don't think he is looking for the "whistle" sound. I think he's looking for the engine "sneezing" sound.

Exactly! REAL J-Tuners get ZERO respect 99.9999% of the time because of the crap people do and say. This thread is a prime example
