so my turbo is tapping the firewall, and I need to buy solid motor mount. I searched turbo tech racing, and they offer two mounts theres and RK's. they both look pretty solid, but I need the one that moves the least. my turbo is hitting my firewall and I need to keep my motor from moving.
the rk one seems like it would have more movement with the giant urthene bushing.
thanks guys

go with TTR there quality is awsome
Actually the TTR mount is the one with the huge bushing. The RK mount is the one with 2 small bushings. The TTR mount is supposed to be a low vibration alternative... personally I think the RK would move less as well, and I could give a @!#$ about vibes. If you want to be cheap, get the Upper Mount Insert and a tube of window weld. Put the insert in, then fill the mount over 2 or 3 sessions leaving 2-3 days in between to allow for drying time.

Thanks for the comment.
Also as a side not both the TTR and RKS one move about the same, which is basically none

some complain the vibs on the RK Sport are pretty bad....

I think SMG sells a solid metal lower mount as well. That combined with either of those uppers and i can't see how your engine will move much at all.

the ecos have an insert? i thought they only had full replacement mounts available to them...
if you want to be cheap, get the RK, but for the same little amount of movement and less vibrations the TTR seems to be the way to go.

^^^ yep, the stock eco mount looks very similar to the rk sport mount.

Riddle me this... riddle me that...
Also after some research, I have noticed there are some people complaing that the mount was "smushsing" or tearing bits of it self off?
you orignally said it was just the customers car, but it turned out there were a few other's with the same problem. any news on that?
thanks man

We had a design change about 9 months ago, that fixed that issue

Just push the firewall back, thats what i had to do. I cut the crank arm off the facorty scissor jack (for cranking clearance) and placed the jack between the turbo mani and firewall and just cranked it out in the spot where i needed clearance.
