i have a few questions about boring a throttle body (or lack there of) for a 96 2.2
1. Whats the larges you can go?? i think i read somewhere that you can bore it to 59mm??
2. what do you use for a throttle plate. i think i have a eco throttle plate lined up. wich can be machined down if i need
3. is there anything else that needs to be done to make this work??
thanks everyone for the help. this is a project i might actually get done here soon.

I had mine bored to 55mm, just slightly smaller (.039") than the 2.3L TB and had my throttle plate custom made.
On a motor with the mods listed in your profile, you will most likely lose some low end torque, resulting in a slightly slower car. As a minimum I would recommend a full exhaust(header back),1.6:1 roller rocker conversion and a ported and polished head, before doing this, to support the air flow demand for that size TB.
Yeah do all that Josh, your car would be quick!
