I was wondering if you can swap 2.3l ho injectors in a 96 2.4l cavalier? What difference in fuel flow would there be? Increase in hp?
more fuel doesn't mean more hp, and it depends on what year your car is...
It's a 1996 2.4l like I said above.
And im not looking for more power im looking for more fuel to make the power.
ive got the HO injectors in my 97 2.4 , they work good
if your going after boost , the HO's are not good to use with a fmu , or over 60psi
i was wondering if the 1990 Grand am. 2.3L Quad 4. injector rail w/ fuel injectors, and fuel pressure regulator will fit on my 96 cavalier z24???? Is there an increse in fuel flow and power compared to stock injectors?
look!
^^^can i use them as a modification/upgrade???
The regular 2.3 injectors were 27lbs compared to 24lbs for the 2.4. The Ho injectors are 32lbs.
why not use only the injectors? It seems, from what you ask, that you don't know much about how an engine work. A fuel rail is just a piece os polish pipe for your injectors. The regulator will be the same for the 2.4 and the 2.3.
And it's not an upgrade unless you got some major modification.
Btw, the intake manifold is not enough to use the Ho injectors.

2.3 Ho
heard.. so the regular ones are cosiderable?
gilles , the 2.3 works off 35 psi , and the 2.4 works off min 42 psi
I knew that but it's the same design. It's just the pressure that is different. running 42psi with 24lbs or 35psi with 32lbs, it's almost the same thing.
kinda useless IMO unless you need them.

I do not think you have read what has been posted already. First no one seems to know what mods you have to you car. So it is really had to say if this could help you. More than likely it will not. Even with most bolt on. I'm still a newbie, but from what I have been told and read our cars are set-up rich. So taking fuel away would help you more. All that is dependant on your current air/fuel ratio.
a gas engine runs off of a mixture of fuel, air ,spark. adding more of one with out more of the other disturbs that mixture and gains you nothing but trouble. i may be wrong
(and someone correct me if i am) but 2.3 injecters would only help if your boosting
or have major head, ignition and valve train modifications. so no you will only be wasting your time and money.

correction, a 1996 2.4 runs on fuel, air, spark, and oil
