When swapping to a 5 speed, from my 95 2.2 auto to a 5 speed 2.2...do i need a new wiring harness? or is there any modifications needed to it?

you will need to swap out the PCM. there shouldn't be any wiring harness differences.

Cavaliers don't really have ECU's so to speak. But if you are referring to the computer.. yes it's a PCM.
