Does anyone know of a place where I can get some numbers on these two headers for performance comparisons. Or off hand would anyone know which may out perform the other when bolted up to a j-body car?
obx is the old pacesetter design....
the new pacesetter 4-1 long tube gives the best of the old 4-1 and the 4-2-1....
its not really about outperforming another one, its where your power band is gonna be.
and get the armor(ceramic) coated header
have the obx 4-1 on my 98' sunfire 2.4l, i can send a sound vid to you if you'd like email me at powder_riding2002@yahoo.ca and i'll send it to you, regards,

get the pacesetter ceramic.......most people have that, and i understand why now that it is installed in my car.

4-1 is for more power in the upper rpm range, right?
New sig in the works
I would go pacesetter, but not painted. I got a painted one, and well there is no paint left.

Get a ceramic coated one...!

corect. and the 4-2-1 is designed for more low end torque.

is there a 4-2-1 header made for a 2200?

u can get the obx 4-2-1 made for 97-99(right years?) and it will fit on the 2200. I have the damn thing and i dunno what year its made for. But i love it.
Problem being is that the Pacesetters usual don't line up with the exhaust ports.

the OBX 4-2-1 lines up fine with both. fits perfectly on both in every way.

hey, does the OBX have 1.5" exhaust ports to a 3" collector?

Not to thread jack by any means, but if somebody has the 2200 engine and they get the ceramic coated header by pacesetter and they have automatic transmission, wont it get in the way. I cant remember where I read it, but Im sure that is what I read. Is this accusation true?

My momma told me I was cool = )
which header is better for 1/4 times. i mean 4-1 or 4-2-1?
hmmm I have the 4-1 pacesetter header and I'm pretty happy with that. It depend if you want low end power or high end. I can beat an 98 Z24 with a hell of a driver in it, it's equal for a while and then I get pass him before the end. I won't change my 4-1 for a 4-2-1, but that's my opinion, up to you to choose....
yeah, how about specs now?
