I have a question for you guys, I have a 1998 cavalier z24, it has upper and lower mounts, full exaust ( rksport headers, with 2 1/2 inch piping), 62 mm throttle body, and aem cold air intake, i was wondering if you guys think it will run in the 14s in the quarter? any input greatly appreciated
No pain, No gain! I will set all of you civic ricers straight when i blow those lambo doors off!
what about minus the bigger throttle body, i got to be running 14s, and it is a 5 speed, and im a excellent driver.

not dogging your driving, but define EXCELLENT driver?
before you make that claim, def go to the track and see what you run.
2.4;s have power, but all you have are basic boltons
i went to the track when it was a stock z24, and i ran a 15.7

not doggin ya,but thats avg at best....
the faster "excellent" drivers can do 15.3 ...low 15;s... bone stock.
but like said, return to the track and see. only real way to find out.
yea, had massive wheel spin, was capable of better, so without spinning, i should be in the 14s

i'll tell you right off... you're already losing power with 2.5" exhaust.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
you could just since your an excellent driver.... make sure u bring them to the track. i think / know its possible with those mods.. bring your a+ driving skills
so what size exhaust is best for a N/A cavalier with the 2.4

theres not really a BEST size....

going larger than needed pretty much moves your powerband higher... although if you go too high, you lose it down low, and you prob wont have enough time on a track to make it back up...
2.5 shouldnt be bad, its like one of those borderline deals where you can get more peak hp, but you dont usually get it till upper rpm.
thanks for the info
