Ecotec pacesetter...?
Friday, July 08, 2005 4:20 PM
I have a que stion for all you guys that have the ecotec pacesetter header. I just got mine in the mail today. I was looking at thedownpipe and it looks like it funnels down to a smaller pipe. Like under 2 inches...

Did anyone else notice this? Did anyone cut that part off and replace it?

mine wasn't like that, which was nice because it fit right into my 2.25" high flow cat. I think that is there to enable hooking it up to stock exhaust

thanks guys... I think I am going to have the exhaust shop cut that little piece off and replace it with 2.25 in pipe. Just like the rest of my exhaust will be. I measured it and the inside of the pipe funnels down to almost 1 1/2 icnhes!!! The exhaust will only flow as well as its most restricting point. So its getting cut off and replaced for sure!

I guess this might be ok for putting the header on with the stock exhaust. But not with the rest of the pie 2 1/4 inches.
