Hey guys,

I had a weird intermittent problem this Wednesday on my Cavalier. Basically I was stopped and an intersection when my RPM gauge started to go up and down 1000 - 100 rpm and the engine died, did a restart same thing, so i shifted into park and reved it then quickly went to drive when the light turned green. I had this happen to me before -- MAP sensor vacum hose but i replaced it with a stock part. So I looked under the hood it all looked good and hasn't happend since, No CEL BTW. I was also using the defrost and I was on the highway for like 10 minutes.

Another thing that happend that same day, I was driving and i hear a jingling/ringing coming from the engine, it got louder as i reved, stopped and checked it sounded like it was coming from the serpetine belt area. I drove around and it just went away.

Anything I should be concerned about??? I thought it might something do with snow and water because we have had alot of slush, water, snow on the roads this week.
