If you want to get rid of your cruise control, can you just cut the wires??? Or will it make my car not work??

Just letting you guys know, i cut the cruise cable, and shrink wrapped the tips of the wires so water couldn't get in, Then i wrapped it in electrical tape so they stay together.

Who needs to cruise anyway!

If i can trace the wires back to the source and unplug them, the cruise control is all yours.
Unless you can deal with clipped wires?
But i got rid of it becuase i don't need it. I never used it, and it clutters my engine bay anyway. Now that i have the HO manifold as well, i don't have the cruise control hookup on my 62mm TB.

only waited 3 hours. good thing it worked eh?
i dont understadn the people who get rid of cruise. if you use it then it certainly doesnt hurt to have it. i personally dont have cruise. sometimes i wish i did but i can drive jsut fine without it.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
I unpluged mine and hid the wires, removed the module and cable and called it good.
Hey,
I don' use my blinkers, can I just break the stupid switch off?

who needs blinkers anyway... I normally don't use the vents because I turn the air down to the floor, can I just take them off the dash? hehe would my car still work?
sorry,
I'm bored

I love cruise control
Well I def just took it off becuase i never use it, and it clutters my bay anyway.
also the 2.3L TB that i got didn't have the extra bracket for the CC, and i decided this would be the opportunity to get rid of it.

I think that the fact that my '97 2.2L Cavy came with cruise is a bit of a joke. Using cruise on such a gutless engine over anything other than a flat plain with no headwind is just cruel. Since it's so specific, it seems like the car spends most of the time struggling keep the car at the correct speed over each molehill. That thing has no inhibitions -- it's kind of fun to find a long steep grade and let the car ream the snot out of the engine to hold 60 all the way to the top.
