cavy trunk not aligning right with sunfire

i have a 02 sunfire sedan and did a cavy trunk swap, all seems well but the trunk has about a quarter inch gap all around and sticks out from the car. it doesnt seem flush at all. what can i do?

Loosen the mounting bolts.

use the rubber bumps on the underside and the bolts you used to mount it. also i believe you can get some adjustment out of the mounts. but you would most likley have to take out the rear deck to get to those.

what do you mean by adjust with the bolts, if i loosen them wont it rattle all the time?

Wow.....



Loosen the bolts, move the trunk lid, tighten the bolts, and repeat until it's perfect. If you still dont know how to do it, take to someone who can.

Close the trunk. Go inside the car and loosen the bolts. Have a friend help move the lid around until its flush. tighten bolts while still closed.

Good idea right here. I have to do this, my trunk looks a bit off.
