Anyone running this bumper in a snowy cold climate and have any problems? I know its low and being lowered might be a problem with snow drifts, hard snow, frozen ice coming in/out of parking lots etc etc.
Also I would worry about cracking/breaking off pieces the urethane in the extreme cold. Example: Yesterday it was -20 with a high wind which was like -30 with wind chill. In that cold if you hit something it would crack and break.
Just putting a feeler out there b/c I was thinking of upgrading from the 00SE rk lip to the full streetfire front.
B/c with my current lip I remove it for winter for the extra clearance. With the streetfire bumper its on all year round and I dont really like the idea of swapping bumpers every spring/fall you know.

that's what i do, and it's a lot smarter than leaving it on all year and destroying it. the bumper itself will probably survive winter, but the paint will get ruined. so either way, you'll end up having to take it off each spring to get repainted if you leave it on. it doesn't take very long to swap bumpers, and it'll save you wear and tear on the streetfire bumper.
i had 0 problems in the winter with my RK lip on... trust me its durable.. only thing that actually lasted in the crash on the front

ya i never had any problems but if you drive through drifts and minor snow it willstart to spider crack on you and screw the paint up.
Oh i know my RK valance is tough. It has been through lots and lots of abuse. But I take it off in winter just b/c it gets so cold and can crack just as easy as fiberglass in winter if your not carefull. I know b/c I have cracked my rear valance backing into a snow drift in winter time when it was really cold.
I could swap bumpers in spring/fall. I mean I wouldnt want to have to repaint it every year or so.
Question though. Do the front fender liners fit up properly with the streetfire front? I know when I swapped from 00GT to 00se I had to change them b/c they were to low and didnt fit properly.
Regards,
yeah I did it one year because I was repainting it and I live in Onterrible. It spider cracked teh paint pretty good near the bottom. but it holds up. They are strong as hell man
