Weatherstripping on tail lights
Thursday, November 23, 2006 2:17 PM
I bought S1lver's '02 stock tail lights after he got toyos, and the only problem with them is that the weatherstripping is coming off around the drivers side outter tail. What kind of glue should I use to reattach it to the edge of the tail light? Also, is the actual weatherstripping going to show because there is some red paint on a few places on the weatherstripping that I wouldn't like to have showing when installed. I am going to be using the rk sport cf trunk bezel with these tails. Can take pics if needed...

Use some weatherstripping compound found at the local auto parts store.

I dont think you need the weatherstripping around the outers, i have clear outers and there is no weather stripping on them.....

I didn't think they would need weatherstripping either, but it is on all of them and this is the only one that is half falling off.

i took mine off and have no issues.
you could always use a lil dab of clear silicone to hold it on there

I bought weather stripping from a local parts store...just a general use kind...prevented the tails I had from vibrating when the system went up...they rattled real bad before hand...
