Does anyone know the size difference in the 99 headlights and corners to the 00 headlights and corners? I'm thinking about switching headlights since there is such a huge gap with everything in my front end.
Anyone think I would be able to put in '00 headlights for mine? I have a HUGE gap in my front bumper, fenders and hood and am removing the cf covers because I don't want them anymore. There is an even bigger gap if I do that.
Was your front bumper cover designed for 95-99? or 2K-2K2? They have a different molding from the top of the bumper to the bottom of the headlights...

I have a 2001 and did the conversion to mine, he has a 96? and he did a conversion to my 01 front end
MantaZ worked on that for a LONG time that way questions like this could be answered.. it should tell you everything you need to know, mostly youll need a donor wiring harness out of the new car and wire it to your exsisting harness to work right, plus Fenders ( or brackets ) from the other years setup

Well I did a conversion from an '04 to a '99 already. I have ALOT of wiring issues from my headlights and figured it would be better to just get a decent headlight I could work with then ones that have a gap. My friend has an '01 and the same front bumper, everything fits perfectly on his, mine however doesn't.
doing 00 swap might help. u may still have to take a dremel and shave it under the headlights a lil if u have probs with the 00 headlights sliding in. So that wouldnt be bad. Just make sure u adjust ur headlights right how u need them before u do trimming and what not because that could change the gap also. Do u still have ur old 04 wire pigtails? Because they use the same 9007 headlight bulb as teh 00 cavs do. So then u would have ur wiring solution fixed, and be able to use the 00 headlights. If u dont have those pigtails anymore make sure u go to a junk yard and try to get a set of 03-05 cavs.. u dont NEED to but it would make connecting the wires easier cuz u just have to match up the colors.
Now that i look at my write up i forgot to include 03-05 cavy wire colors.. Ill have to get those and have a mod edit that in for me.
Yeah, I would have to go to a junkyard either way to get a new harness, this just seems simple then messing with the old ones. I guess we'll try it and see where it takes me. I'll let everyone know!
