Hey everyone. I am about to get to work on the exterior of my 03 black J-body. It has the base model bumpers and the 14" steelies, its not an LS sport.
Firstly I am looking for a set of wheels that are light, 17", and can be had in a gun metal finish. Any recommendations?

There are a few parts I want to get my hands on early. Firstly, I have an 03 and hate the back end with the reflector strip tail light style.
I know I have two options:
I can swap the hood with an 02' or I can buy the conversion piece.
Can someone point me to a good place to buy that online, I do not know what its called exactly. If I get this piece, will it look ok to leave the outer tails I have stock, and just buy the inner pieces from an 02? I like the stock tail light look, I am not into euros or altezza style.
How much will this piece run? Will I run into any problems installing or is it a direct swap?
reflector piece can be bought at rksport i think. if your looking for light wheels you can get the trek lites (i think thats what there called) their hard to find though and expensive
The rims you speak are the Trak Lites made by Motegi Racing. They aren't that hard to find, but they are expensive. I believe they are $260ish each for the 17 inchers. They are available in a gunmetal finish and weigh 14 lbs. each.
you can get a trunk lid from a 95 up to a 02. not just a 02. if you get the rk sport carbon fiber trunk bezel and keep the outers you have it will just look weird. they're bigger and stick out further. just get a set of 00-02 stockers.

I have an 04 and I'm switchin to 02 inner/outer tails and then welding up the holes from the reflector. And of course repainting the the whole trunk.
I see. I think I am going to go with the trunk swap, If i can find one at the junk yard, in my color, It would probablly cost less then the whole rksport rt.
