Well, on Tuesday, I finally picked up my first V8 powered car. It's a 94 Z28 with the 6speed and T-tops. I know it's no LS1, but the LT1 gets the job done. Quite a bit better than the old LD9 did in my Z24 I had. It's in very good shape for being a '94 and having a little over 120k miles on it. It already had a Moroso CAI, Edelbrock shorty headers, full 3.5" exhaust, and a cutout in place of the catalytic converter. Man, is that thing loud when it's uncapped. It's definately nice having about twice the power that I had in the Z24. Gas mileage hasn't really been any worse either. Only bad thing is that it needs Premium. Here's a couple of pictures that the previous owner took of it. I haven't had time to get it cleaned up after getting filthy on the ride back from Champaign. It's also a little cold out now to wash it.

I can dig it. How much was it?
Great choise, F-bodies are always a good car to go with. My cuzin has a 02' WS6 T/A and my friend has a 96' WS6 Formula both are fast cars. Yea the LS1 is quicker, but the LT1 holds up well(better than mustangs).

I paid $4200. Not too bad of a price for the condition it's in. The guy before me took really good care of it and is a pretty big F-body enthusiest. I wanted his other Z28. It was a 94 with a 383. This one still has some pretty good get-up and go though and runs exceptionally well for it's age.

Eeee.....
I can understand wanting a RWD V8 MT, but there's no chance I'd ever buy anything equipped with GM's wonderous OptiSpark system, especially with 120K of likely hard miles.
Congrats, though.

Optispark only had 7 miles on it, when I bought it, and it has a life-time warranty. So, no problems there. Rear end also has all new seals and and fluids along with the tranny and motor, I believe. The guy had put more than $5k into it, just on maintenance. I feel safe driving this car anywhere right now.

Grats' man. I just picked up a 94 Formula for $3500 and love it. You on CZ28 and Ls1tech?

Yep, both. I actually bought this from a guy on CZ28.com. Do you want some window tint for your Formula? lol. The guy gave me some 3M window tint that was custom cut for a 4th gen Fbody and I don't feel like putting it on. 5% in the rear and 20% sides, I believe.

Dang if you were closer I would, the tint on my formula is peeling on the sides.

I still have it in the box it was shipped to him in. All you have to do is send me some money and it'll be on it's way to you.

I'm just looking to get some money because I need a new shift knob (the leather one has some wear and I want the Hurst 6-speed knob) and I figured I'd also get a short throw shifter while I'm at it.
