Also I forgot to mention, being AWD shouldn't it be flat-bedded? Just now caught that.
I know my buddie's WRX got towed wrong when he was on deployment and he just got home to his diff making a ton of racket.

couldnt you just put it in neutral?
you can remove the driveshaft, but that's all you could really do to tow an all-time AWD vehicle on two wheels
I know some cars (like the GVR4) have a switchable transfer case so that it can be FWD for things like this.
fortune cookie say: better a delay than a disaster
or they could put the little dollies on the rear wheels..

I don't think it really matters, the thing looks like a write off
You'd think they'd be careful!

For what it's worth, at least my Subaru can be put into 2wd for emergency situations. I want to say it's a a fuse in the engine bay.
Subaru uses the little switchable thing for towing. The tool to switch it is in the trunk. Atleast the WRX's are like that.

No. The transmissions are "splash lubed". The gears spinning in the oil throw oil on the ones out of the oil. And if you tow it with the drive wheels on the ground and transmission connected to the drive wheels. Your turning a few gears in the tranny that are not being lubed and will wreak the transmission.
Feel free to add to it, but this is what i remember from college. BTW i was at college for diesel trucks/rigs, not cars so im assumeing its the same.

....can you really judge the extent of the damage in that picture? If so I suggest you seek info on becoming an insurance adjuster. I see a folded hood and deployed airbags, can't really say anything regarding structural/drivetrain damage but with an MSRP on the base around 70k your assumption is a very poor one indeed.
It isn't a @!#$ Cavalier

fenders look like they're creased too joe.
and why is it that it's in japan but it says 'police' in english all over the bike and the jacket? i see the japanese characters as well, but the english words are in the middle or everything as if japanese is a second language there.
that pic shows a little bit more than a bent hood. the hood and fenders are gone for sure. doors might be @!#$ too, the front brace under the bumper is bent pretty heavy. and the actual bumper is no where to be seen. id say the engine is probably ok, but where the hell are they going to get the parts to fix it? these things are probably being sold before they even roll off the production line. im sure Nissan is just going to throw this guy a whole new front end because he was an idiot with his new toy. if i was Nissan, i would be saving parts like that for cars that need to be produced.
1997 RedR - ZedR
the weel looks pushed back into the wheel well, as well as the front fender is bent to @!#$. the engine bay looks like it's smooshed up into the firewall. i wouldn't be surprised if it's a write off either
Oops, guess I should've clicked the link.
Either way!
its probably because he's an asian driver.

he felt the need to buy a awesome car to equalize the fact he has a small penis.
The engine does not look alright.
The piping underneath the brace looks like its almost closed.
In fact i'm almost positive the engine was beat up. There is a big engine in there and I doubt it didn't get touched with the fenders and hood looking like that.
