Okay, some of you know that I'm selling Callisto to a good home. Anyhow, Callisto's younger sister just showed up this morning--i get to pick her up tomorrow after work!!!!
She's a 2006 Pontiac G6 GXP Street edition coupe, and fully loaded. After the QA/QC thing the dealerships have to do, all they need to install on her is LoJack and the exhaust.

I don't think i could make it--a lot of that depends on Miška's work schedule. granted, that may change if/when she gets out here for graduate studies...

As for the specs:
She's a 2008 Pontiac G6 GXP coupe. Street edition package, plus package, and sun and sound package. Added to that is a the performance exhaust (they remove the resonator and put in mandrel bent piping), and the black-chrome wheels (it's very subtle--the pics don't do it justice). Color is the only one allowed: black.
Engine is the 3.6l LY7 powerplant. DOHC with VVT. 252hp/251 trq. Transmission is the 6spd auto with tapshift. Deck is the 6 disc delco deck, with XM and aux input. in the back attaches to a monsoon amp. 8-spkr setup.
Interior is black leather, trim pieces i opted for brushed aluminum as opposed to walnut burl.

Would you believe that's the stock spoiler? So for reference, no, i didn't kill and mount Rosie O'Donnell on my new car...
Honestly, looking at that, the molded inline spoiler, and no spoiler, IMHO it actually looks the best. the other two make the back end look too much like a Solara.
Unfortunately, pic 2 makes the think look freaking HUGE!!!!!!
Still, Skađi is about 100hp Stock more than Callisto is. Not that I don't like Callisto any more...like I said, she is going to a good home.
And yes, to many people's relief, and many more's chagrin, i am going to stay around here.

Damn, Keeper. I didn't think you'd ever get rid of Callisto. I remember seeing her when I starting coming around here in 2000 after buying my Cavi and thinking, "There's a guy doing it right. Keeping it simple and classy."
But that's one hell of an upgrade. I didn't think I'd ever see a domestic car that would make my jaw drop again, but that one does it. It's uber sexy. I'll be looking forward to the better pics.

I think the wing grows on you. Granted, i could think of a better wing design could have fitted it without looking like i hijacked it off of a 747, But really, seeing the ass-end of a G6 without one, and it looks kinda...plain. Solara-like. So, I had to choose: Either I edge a bit towards gaudiness, or i edge towards owning a car that looks like it belongs to a yuppie. Which do you think your Keeper would take
?
But really, Callisto is going to my bro, who has helped me work on her since day 1, and he's well knows for taking good care of cars (despite not being an enthusiast). So, she's in good hands.

the wing doesnt bug me as much as the grills do , which look like a saggy pair boobs , whats even worse is you can see the inner bumper structure
at the car show here , the model/spokeswoman that was with the GXP , looked offended when i told her the grills looked like a boob job gone bad , and it destroyed the look of the car , lol
i like the car other wise , other than the standard of needing to be lowered a little
I have a mod idea for the grills...simply popping them out and black laqurering them to match the lower-center grill. Basically, making it black chromed while leaving the upper chrome trim in it--think the look on some jaguars...

I'm glad you went through with it man! When I saw it was a 2006 and showed 2008 pictures, I said there is something wrong here. lol
The car looks hot and I can see Calisto's spirit in this G6.
I just wish Pontiac still offered the manual with the 3900, but i guess it was not so popular. I'd still jump on one as I'm a pontiac guy.

^^^I just wished they offered a manual of the 3.6...or a beefier 6at with tapshift. I swear, according to specs, the transmission craps out at 300hp...i only have 50 to go
. Considering what they're doing with that engine in the CTS, i know i can squeeze more than 50hp out of here.
And yes, i'm an idiot for putting 2k6 rather than 2k8. it feels, seeing as how i ordered her in October, that i've been waiting since 2006...
