Seriously, looks clean. If you're not happy with the 305, why did you get it? If you look around hard, you could have gotten an Iroc for cheaper.

Just got a third gen myself last week. 1985 IROC w/ a 305TPI. Only paid $2000 for a solid bodied, no rust, 70K mile car. My buddy bought it in Colorado from the first owner, then decided to get into sport bikes instead. Good for me.

I've seen a few of those in people's yards for sale lately. I can think of 3 off the top of my head.

An Iroc that clean for under 3K? Plus you know the Irocs still came with a 305 or a 350? Not to mention obviously he likes the later 90's one. So he would have to go with a 1990 Iroc which is harder to find. Since they only made them half the year. So now you're going to find a clean ass iroc with only 84k, all power, and a 350 for under 3k? Good luck on that one. Its not going to be a 15k dollar car, but a really clean Iroc with a 350 is going to run more than what he paid.
Normally I would say no to a 305TBI RS car, but thats an extremely well taken care of car with good miles for the year. I think you did pretty well. Thats not a real common color. I've seen a good amount of them though. Not my favorite color, but its nice.

Nice buy. That's really clean for a 3rd gen. The 305 TBI's are SLOW though. You shouldn't even waste money on headers and whatever you want to do to it. Don't overhaul the engine either. Save up money for an LT1 or LS1 swap or something. That'd make it a pretty badass car. I love that color on them too. My brother had a 91 RS V6 that same color for his first car. And to give you an idea of how slow the 305 TBI's are, my brother's 3.1 V6 automatic with just catback and a jerry rigged intake walked all over them.
